NEW RELEASE / NITTY - GRITTY

SUMMER.
 So how is the summer? Hot, hot and hot and yes hoooooot. We are having a very hot days lately. A lot of people asked me when I moved to Spain why almost everyone had a swimming pool around their house or neighborhood.  Why? People wouldn’t be able to survive the summer being outside without water. Being said that I prefer this whether to cold winter.

BLOCKS.
I got back to basic this week and used blocks. I’m totally in love with blocks but I try to control myself. If not each week I’d have just blocks for you.
I wasn’t able to create any page before the release but I definitely will this weekend and will share it with you.

NAME.
Why did I call this pack Nitty – gritty? As blocks are for me the basic shapes used in templates I thought it would be a perfect name for this pack.
Nitty – gritty means between others -  the basic essentials and for me blocks are these essentials. I mean the blocks templates can be used with every kit, can’t they?

new templates - Fever pitch

Do you have time to scrap in summer? I see less and less people around internet and that’s good. Hope you all enjoy your families, friends and good weather! I was on a short holidays in June and filled my head with some ideas. New places, people and activities are so much inspiring even if we sometimes are a bit more tired after the holidays than before it - at least that’s my case.
The new pack this week is called f e v e r  p i t c h. What does it mean? It is known as a state of extreme agitation or excitement and I believe it’s a state we are in in summer.
What’s new in this pack? I added an overlay to each of templates. As the files got quite big you have an option in the download tab to download the pack with the overlays or the templates and overlays separately. As always the templates are available as psd, tiff and png files.

May? Why does time go by so fast? I remember thinking I wanted do much Easter vacation to come and we already have a long weekend in Europe. I´m really enjoying nice weather during these 4 days holidays in Barcelona. Yep, quick holidays. For sure you`ll see some pictures in my pages.

This weekend is special for me not only because of holidays but especially because of the whole iNSD celebration. I mean this is the best weekend for us – scrappers as we are waiting the whole year for all these sales! Jimbo Jambo shops are 30% off so be sure to grab your favourite packs.

What´s more, I have new 4 templates for you – called Gatecrash. When I finished the pack and looked on all templates together I thought they all together seem a big fiesta (do not forget I live in Spain :) ).  As gatecrash means to enter a party without an invitation or ticket I thought I’d be a perfect name. Just add some papers and elements + some party pictures and your original and funky layout is ready.

New digital templates - Xerox Subsidy - 26/04

Hello fans! New weekend means new release. This week I have created 4 new templates for you. Why did I call them Xerox subsidy? The other day when uploading one of my pages to the designer forum I saw one of ct member said that he page was missing a  photo as she created it at work and didn’t have access to her personal files. I was like woooow I’d love to be able to make pages at my full time job when I’m not busy but let’s face it it’s not and won’t be possible. This gave me an idea of creating an original and easy to scrap with pack. As Xerox subsidy means is a term for the (usually frowned-upon) practice of using a copy machine, printer, or scanner for personal use at work I thought itb would be just a perfect match for this pack. You could definitely create a page with it at work in a moment. When I sit on Thursday at home after veeery long day to create some pages myself I created two very fast. Hope you will have the same filling when you use it.

Zero hour - new release

Hello friends, I have added a new pack to my shops. It means 6 new templates.
I really felt my template’s mojo was back when I started designing this pack. I couldn’t stop creating new templates. That’s why I have again 6 ones for you. I think I may even create a similar one with some new shapes soon. I really like how easy is to add some papers, elements and create a great looking page in a moment.
I have  even created one myself with the creashens new kit with a photo from my recent holidays in the south of Spain.

new month - new release - Walk on air

Finally I have a new release for you.

Why have I chose the name walk on air? We are gettin g closer to spring and I designed this pack thinking about being happy and creating your pages fast and easy and the meaning of this expression - to be very happy; to be euphoric so I think I

achieved it.

my creative process

As many of you know. I had a chance to guest as a scrapper at the lilypad last month. It was a great month when I decided to give myself a short break from designing and enjoy scrapping and I had a blast.

Today I wanted to share with you my creative process with one of the pages I created last month.

Here is the final result with Jaywalk template.

Normally what I do first is choosing a photo that I want to use with a particular kit and it's what I did first and then I added the background paper

after this I added the rest of the background papers..

 and cliped few papers with some big elements

 then I started with smaller layers

 and decided to change them as I didn't like the effect

Later I started adding some brushes,...

 ... small elements and I moved the background paper ( I haven't noticed it before :D)

... more cute elements

 

I didn't think I had chosen the best photo for this kit so I changed it

 then just added some more funky elements

and that's it .. the final result
